Question:

Infection or healing?

I sized up about to a 6 ga, I guess 2 weeks ago. Maybe a week and a half. Since then, I've been having a bit of trouble keeping the flesh tunnels in my ears. About a week after, I woke up in the AM and the right ear's tunnel would be INSIDE the ear. Mind you, these are flared flesh tunnels. So I pull it out, swab and soak my ear down with hot salt water and rubbing alcohol, clean the tunnel and put it back in. Then, the same thing happened on the left ear, TWICE. They had been hurting a bit and a little crusting , but I thought it was just the healing process. After soaking and cleaning, they'd look fine and feel better. But I wake up in the morning with the tunnel in my ear and having to repeat this process.

I'm obvioiusly gonna go to the piercing shop to find out WTF is going on, but do you think it's infected? When I take them out, I have a little bleeding and a small amount of white discharge. But nothing that seems like a serious infection. Or is my ear rejecting the tunnel? It's only happened once on the right, but twice in like 4 days on the left. The right seems to be fine. For now. Doesn't hurt or anything.

  1. Vitamin E oil can aid healing of flesh tunnels, and reduces scarring, if sometime you do wish to reduce or remove them entirely.

  2. Take them out.You have reaction with the metal .Might got rotten .Rule do smell test if it smell unnatural or bad it is infected.

  3. It sounds normal, I don't think it's infected, or there would be extreme redness and a lot of soreness/pain. But you have to keep the tunnels in place though. Just go to the store, and they'll help you.
