I'm looking to get output on my HDTV that does not have any output ports. I found the following product: http://www.hometech.com/pdf/ce-av.pdf

If I purchased that, would I be able to connect my 360 to the input and then connect some composite cables to connect it to my capture card?

  1. What you have found is a video distribution amp. It is for analog video. You plug your source like a VHS tape deck or DVD player (composite output)  into the amp and it will send the signal to several TV sets. It is used in stores where you see the same picture on multiple TV sets.

If you plug your 360 (composite video/audio outputs) in the amp it will send the signal from 4 to 7 different places. One can be to the HDTV (analog signal) and to the video capture card of your computer. With ports left over.

NOTE: that the output of the 360 must match the input of the distribution amp and the output of the amp must match the input of the TV or Capture card.

Many models of distribution amps are made so choose the one that has the best input/output that fits your needs: The order is as follows

    Best HDMI

Better  Composite  video (RGB plus audio)

    Good  S-Video plus audio

OK Component video and audio  - YOUR PRODUCT LINK
