Info on pozzolan soil?

Does anyone have useful info on pozzolan soil (preferably in terms that are understandable for a 7th grader)? I'd like to know what kinds of things can grow in it (normal, household flowers/plants?), and where I can get it. Thanks in advance!

Pozzolan is a soil additive that helps the soil.  Its not actually a type of soil.  Its much like perlite that you find in normal potting soil.  Perlite is the white little round balls that you find in the potting soil.  Pozzolan mostly helps keep the soil moist longer by holding on to the water longer.  Anything can be grown with it, however, you have to add it to the soil of your choice.  GOOD LUCK.
