  1. A friend of mine had a similar situation. If he owes back child support it should be taken out of his stimulus check. He will also receive a letter about this advising him why it was taken.

    Irs.gov faq for stimulus checks:

Question: I'm eligible for a payment but I still owe federal income tax from a prior year. Will my payment be reduced?

    A. Yes. For this purpose, the stimulus payment is treated like any other tax refund. This means that part or all of your payment can be used to pay past-due federal or state income taxes or non-tax federal debt such as student loans and child support.

Also if you have other direct questions, depending on which state you live in, you can contact your local irs office. It may be easier to get through and speak with a live person. Visit the attached link. Hope this helps.

  2. Firstly, please don't start your sentences with "okay". Bad grammar, sweetie.

Secondly NOBODY is getting 977.22 as a "stimulus" check. The stimulus checks are in $300 increments only.

To find out more try the IRS website ... www.IRS.gov . There is lots of information, a list of frequently asked questions and a toll free number you can call to speak with an IRS representative with specific questions.

Good luck to you and your little one.

  3. Hi, if you go onto the website at IRS.gov and click for the "Where is my stimulus payment" and have his SS# and how he filed, it will tell you exactly when the check was mailed or when it will be mailed.  I checked on my parents and ours through the website and it was accurate!  Good luck!

  4. If he filed jointly with his wife...that may gum up the works a bit.  I would contact your local assistance office.

  6. First of all.  Yall need to go and spend that money on some english lessons.  Second.  You guys should have discussed that with someone before filing for your taxes b/c i believe you need to submit that info when filing!! do your homework b/4 its too late next time
