Information on rosella parakeets?

Anything about rosella parakeets please - like how good pets they are, can they talk, what they eat

Depends on how young it is ,they can be taught to mimic but it must be a male bird , they have more of a whistle than a screech unlike most parrots ,you can buy books on rosella's they are a few different types.they eat a standard parrot/parakeet mix

Rosella Parakeets are beautiful colourful birds, they are chatty, cute, sweet and absolutely adorable! Every single one of them has their own personality.

Rosellas are very active birds and a very skillful flyers. They love to play, climb, and chew. Though they are not great talkers they can be quite vocal. They are also very hardy, very resistant to disease, and are not difficult to feed and care for. Once they are established with an acceptable mate, they are easy to breed.

They mainly eat seeds but will also eat berries, blossoms, nectar, fruit and insects.Their flight is 'undulating' and close to the ground, and they glide upward into trees, fanning their tails as they land.Their heads and necks are bright red, their cheeks are white. Feathers on their backs and wings are black, edged with bright yellow-green or yellow. Their flight feathers are blue.

Males and females appear similar but males are brighter on the head and breast than females.Many people recognise rosellas as the symbol on sauce bottles and soup cans in kitchens around Australia.

hi there!! rosella's are great birds i had one in the house but it maid that much noise that we made him a flight in the garden!!! he never talked at all he make a noise like a rusted see-saw!!!lol they eat parrot mix we have 3 of them 1 male 2 female's!!! good luck on the info its hard to get!!
