Inground pool is couldy?

it's been raining and I haven't been keeping the pool on for a couple of days, so today I go to backwash it (inground pool) and the water is cloudy, and not clear, what else can I do to clear it up? the clorine level is good, and I put algaecide in it, anything else you might suggest to get my crystal clear pool back? thanks

let the filter run 24 hours a day for a couple of days

Try some stabilizer, cyanuric acid. Get it at any pool supply store. The PH balance is probably messed up.
