Installing a outlet for microwave.?

I am installing an outlet in a metal box for a microwave using existing 2-wire bx cable. The condo has emt throughout. Is the outlet considered grounded?

  1. The jacket of the BX cable is the ground as it should carry through to the breaker box.  That means you should run a green or bare wire from the ground connection on your outlet to the metal box to pick up your ground.  Once wired, check the circuit for a good ground.
