Instant Messaging photo sharing?

I was on yahoo instant messaging and I clicked on the icon that says share photo. I pulled the photo out of my hard drive and it displayed on the IM screen. my question is: can the user on the other end access my hard drive? Or can they just download the photo only?

    No the user at the other end can NOT access your hard drive or pictures folder. Just view what you post there.
