Question:

Integrated Algebra June 2008?

Just a few questions that I'm unsure about and would really like to make sure...

The one with the subset, set, complement, positive factors of 5 thingy... the answer was 2) {-1, 0, 2, 3, 4} right?

Quali...something. What in the world does that word mean? I saw "qua" so I thought of 4 (you know, QUAdruple?) but then the only answer relating to numbers was the one where it was like five of something...

That's all I can think of right now that I had trouble with...

If you could answer my questions, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

  1. i got the same thing for the subset thing and the same thing for the porabla thing yayyyyy also for the mountain thing it was the one with the students opinions because it couldnt de a number those are quantatative it was asking for qualitative

  2. Your answer to the complement of the set intersection is correct.

Qualitative information is information that it cannot easily be counted or have a uniform number value assigned to it.  This is in contrast to quantitative information, which can be counted easily.

e.g.  The box office receipts for a movie would be quantitative information, while the quality of the movie would be qualitative information.

  3. That is really really unfair. This is an effing MATH regents. (Even if it is "integrated algebra") Why should a READING question be on it? Like, okay, SORRY I don't know what "qualitative" means. But how is that supposed to determine my ability to do math? It's so messed up.

Thanks Parmeet, I was so happy when I found that they accepted 16 2/3%.

  4. i just asked this question too. i got the same as u but i dnt think it is right ( for the subset question)

    ----

qualitative. = it is like color, shape, like the quality.

opposite of qualitative= QUANTity which means like numbers, or scores, or sizes. so it wasn't the shoe ansewr, not mountains.

it was B but i forgot wht tht was. hope i helped

wht was the one w/ the parabola? (last muilitple choice question)

i was like ax+bx+c. and a was multiplied by 3

was it tht the porabola gets wider or narrower.

or it goes up 3. i was so confused!

  5. wow i took this today too!

those were the ones i had trouble with :)

    it was a hard test

  6. The subset one you got right it was -1,0,2,3,4 i got it wrong cause never learned that. the qualidty one was the students opinion about lunchs... i got it wrong also i put the basketball players. O just to clarify the one you put 16 2/3 % they are accepting that because the question wasn't clear so you get no points off for that. i think i only got 2 multiple choice wrong and rest right.

I put median and i think is median, but lot of ppl say mean for last one so it can be either one just if you justifiy it right. Good luck i think you only got 1 multiple choice wrong so

85/87 should be 99 unless you mess up or get a point off or they change the conversion charts.

I think i got 83/87 i'm almost sure cause i peeked for my grade in teachers desk really fast and it was 83/87 I think. So 97 hopefuully. Good luck
