Internet/Phone Line conflict?

Question

when i plug in my phone line, my internet stops working

when i unplug my phone line and restart my computer, the internet is working again.

whats going on and how do i fix this?

btw im on dsl

This should not be happening.

Call your DSL provider to fix the wiring problem.

Make sure you have a dsl filter on every phone line in use.
