Internships? ?

Question

I want to be a meteorologist when I grow up. Next year will be my senior year of high school. I'm planning on being an intern at the National Weather Service toimproe my chances of getting hired as a meteorologist and improve my chances on getting in a good college. What is it like being an intern for meteorology? Would I get to do some meteorology work? Sources?

I'm not too sure, but I'm sure it's just like any other internship where you learn the basis of meteorology.  You would most likely get to do some meteorology work.
