Involuntary twitching?

my left thumb and index finger have been twitching on and off since earlier this evening. has anybody ever had this happen? if so, what was causing it?

could just be nerves or stress.  Maybe muscle spasms.

Could be long term sleep deprivation. I had the same problem with my eye twitching a few years ago. I thought maybe I was breaking down under stress. Maybe going crazy! LOL I went to the Doctor and I was told to get more sleep. I did and the problem slowly went away.
