Ionisers -which is best?

I am considering getting a negative ioniser but need help to find out which is the best model to get.

I am particularly wary of ones that emit ozone.

Can anyone tell me of their experiences with ionisers and whether they have worked for you.

The Honeywell 3-Speed Digital Tower Fan with Ionizer is rated well, gets good reviews, and at $55 seems reasonably priced.

If you're looking for an air purifier, the Whirlpool "Whispure" seems to work well, and doesn't give off that weird ozone smell.

It's about $350.
