Iowa weather?

Iowa has had the worst weather of them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dubuque broke the snowfall record, 75inches. thunderstorms. tornadoes that are killing people, ruining homes, towns and lives. AND the flooding!!! I live near Dubuque and we aren't flooding, YET. Cedar Rapids is HORRIBLE!! Doesn't anyone agree with me??

Tara Elaine, remember, you might be "used to" this weather, but were NOT. When I think of Iowa I think of corn, weather in the summer that it will be sunny, 10 mins. later it will be down pouring..., and hot weather. And I live in Marion,IA, which is about 20 miles from Cedar Rapids. One of my best friends parents own a business in downtown Cedar Rapids, they didn't have flood insurance, and they didn't think that the flood would get that bad so they just put chairs on top of the tables, the whole place is flooded and most likely the building will be bulldozed... This will take months, years to rebuild, and most of these buildings are are at least 50+ years old.... it is a great loss to the people in Eastern Iowa.

Honestly if you compare Cedar Rapids to Wisconsin Dells, the Dells aren't as bad. It was a man made lake that went over, this is a whole city.

"Tara" or "whatever"--how rude. You dont know what it is like to live here, watching the local news knowing this is a historical happening, that no one has seen anything this bad.

No... You have not idea I live in Kansas and it's like this every year. You have just one bad year and your B****ing. Just last night we were hit with mass flooding tornadoes,ect.. and it was like this the day before. We have not had 48 hours with out rain. The ground has not been able to dry up yet. Two people were just killed last night due to this. you guys got it a lot easier then most people do so stop whining. You have any idea how many people died this week! More then you have in a year! Not that something like this should be braged about. It's awful, no matter how you look at it!

I have to agree with Tara. You can't say Iowa is the worst weather just for one year. I live in Southeast Va and we get hurricanes every 3 to 4 years that causes massive flooding and wind damage. Also hurricanes spawn tornadoes. And i don't call snow bad weather. I really sorry for all you people and the people been killed. I'm not saying you aren't having bad weather because you are. But i have family that lives in Iowa and overall Iowa has descent weather. This is just one of those bad times. There isn't a place in the country that hasn't experienced this at one time or another

We aren't flooding yet? C'mon now..We're not going to..The hills and the floodwall prevent flooding..Any flooding here in Dubuque would be minimal at best..

Did you see what happened to Wisconsin Dells, a dam or levy gave way and there is no more water. Heard it's going to take a year or two to repair and have the water fill the lakes again. Hope you didn't have that area planned for your vacation.

I don't think we have the worst weather ever.. but Iowa weather does suck.

It's so unpredictable.

My town is almost completely submerged in flood water from this past week.

I witnessed a huge tornado on Tuesday night.

Then saw a rainbow.

There were severe thunderstorms on Wednesday.. and yesterday was nice and sunny..

And the winters are just crazy.

Iowa is just a strange place.. but we get used to it.

EDIT: Wow, Tara Elaine obviously hasn't done her research on Iowa.....

Brace yourself. I am in Wisconsin and all our record rainful will be coming down the Mississippi in the next few days.

It is very unusual. And I can't wait for it to be normal again.
