  1. apple couldn't care less about you and your unfortanate incident

  2. I am a lead technician and work on cell phones for a living. It is more than likely completely corroded. Trust me, you won't be able to fool them with a warranty claim. I've had people try to do this to me for 6 years. We know when a phone has hit the water. Get a new phone if your insurance doesn't cover liquid damage.

  3. Put it in a box with packets of silica gel in a worm, dry air environment for about a week or so. Try it again. If it works, back up your data afterward so that if it dies for sure, you do not lose everything.

    If it still does not work, call Apple. They do not cover water related accidents, but if it is dry enough they might just assume it was a malfunction and replace the device.

    Good luck

  4. Time to buy a new iPhone.  Apple will not cover water damage.

  5. The Apple people are very good about fixing iPhones under warranty.  They replaced mine because of a bluetooth glitch.  That being said, I do not think that they cover water damage, and I know the AT&T warranty does not (my husband spilled soda on his phone).

  6. Your out of luck with any warranty.

    From apple re: apple care, if that's what you have.

    Limitations. The Plan does not cover:

    (i) Installation, removal or disposal of the Covered Equipment, or installation, removal,

    repair, or maintenance of non-Covered Equipment (including accessories, attachments,

    or other devices) or network or cellular service external to the Covered Equipment;

    (ii) Damage to the Covered Equipment caused by accident, abuse, neglect, misuse

    (including faulty installation, repair or maintenance by anyone other than Apple or an

    Apple Authorized Service Provider), unauthorized modification, extreme environment

    (including extreme temperature or humidity), extreme physical or electrical stress or

    interference, fluctuation or surges of electrical power, lightning, static electricity, fire,

    acts of God or other external causes;

    (iii) Covered Equipment with a serial number that has been altered, defaced or removed;

    (iv) Problems caused by a device that is not the Covered Equipment, including equipment

    that is not Apple-branded, whether or not purchased at the same time as the Covered

    Equipment;

    As a side note, Most phones have something that identifies whether or not a phone has been subjected to any water.
