Ipod issues not working?

well i have a ipod video 5th generation and i bought it on 8/14/2006. Then it started to mess up and didnt play or come on so i took it in and they replaced it on 7/20/2007. Now its having the same problem it wont play songs or come on and it has been on the charger for months and idk what to. Also there is a crack inside the screen. im not sure if that may be the problem. But my question is...is it still in warranty or will i have to pay to get it fixed? thx

Ah, that sort of thing has happened to me. Try holding the MENU + CENTER button for a few seconds, maybe ten, until the Apple logo appears.
