Do Mashadis have such a unique Farsi (Persian) accent?

  1. A country as small as Azerbaijan has hundreds of different accents in their respective cities.....So why cant a country as large as Iran?

As for why they (Mashadis) sound Indian-ish I have no idea, I agree their accent is unique owing to Mashad's geographical location, but the accent is still cool.....

I remember when I was growing up and slowly losing my Shirazi Farsi touch they started to call me Arash-e-Hindi or Arash-e-Mashadi...

    Now you know why....

  2. i don't think so,because people in all over IRAN speak parsi on their own way and accent.they all speak parsi but who know what the pure parsi accent is?

  3. Yeah, you're correct. But it's not just Mashadis, people in Esfahan, Yazd, Tabriz, north, south, west of Iran, etc. all have their unique accent, too. It's because of Iran's multiple cultures and maybe you'll find it out when you speak to more Iranians from other parts of Iran.

  4. LOL....Yes, they do have a unique accent but no mixing with Hendi- Pleaaaaase!;-p . But I travelled there with my parents 2 years ago, the one thing that I noticed first was that they were tall, and some of them looked like mogols!;-p

IMO...The best accent is Esfahani accent! I really like to listen to them when they talk. So coo!;-)

  5. I agree!!!
