In Ireland, is there a certain time an employer is meant to give P60 form to employees? i did think it was xmas / January time, but i never got one from my employer and i asked others and neither did they? my boss was quite lax about these important things like contracts and payslips (never got them either). well , 3 weeks ago i left my job, so im going in to him tomorrow to get my p45 form (hopefully) and some other stuff, so what i wanted to know is when p60 come out and is it too late now to get mine? i want to ask him for it tomorrow as well, but im worried its too late or it will be too much hassle to get it now? it did bug me i never got it yet, but i let it go but my mom is hassling me to get it saying its important and i need to have it.

  1. He should have given it to you at the end of the tax year which is long gone by. You can still ask him for it but it would probably be easier to ring the tax office yourself and request one.

  2. You will be able to get it. usually they issue ot once a year, and the times vary with different employers. To be honest, there is really no point in getting it as long as you are going to have your P45, as far as I can tell. Just ask your boss to make out another P60 for you and to post it on to you.

  3. it is very odd that you dont recieve payslips or your p60 as these are required to be handed out by law. this happened to a friend of mines - no payslips or anything like that. He spoke with his brother in law (who works in the tax dept.) to check it out.

it turned out, he hadn't been paying tax for over 3 years, desite his boss telling him that he was. His employer had to foot the tax bill
