Irritated dry scalp from lice? ?

In the past month, I had lice and the lice is gone now, but I have a dry, itchy irritated . All the washings left my scalp REALLY dry and irritated. It scalp so bad I can't think straight without scratching, which makes it worse. What are some really good home remedies for this? I do not want a list of products because I worry that that will make it even worse. Has this happened to anyone else? Please help me!

I don't remember it having it happen to me when I had lice twice as a child, I would definitely ask a doctor /or/ use a shampoo for dry scalp?

I've never had lice but it sounds like your scalp is itchy from all the washings.  Have you ever tried a hot oil treatment?  You can get them at the drug store, or a beauty supply, they're very inexpensive, easy to use, and they used to work wonders on my mom's dry scalp.  It comes in a little tube.  You put the tube in warm water for a couple of minutes, and then apply it to your head and hair.  Wait a few minutes and shampoo it out.  Your scalp and hair will feel amazing and you'll get rid of the itchies.  I hope this helps!
