Irritation "down there"?

Question

okay so yesterday it started to get really itchy. nothing unusual, but redness and the itching of course. i thought it might be a yeast infection, but then i thought maybe it was my pubic hair? my reasoning would be, its not actually itchy in the v****a, just the skin surrounding it... it is really long, and i was hoping/thinking it was the problem... what are your opinions? also i am panicking right now, so anything to calm me down mite help too

not toxic shock, because, i don't use a tampon

calm down silly,

it can just be that you need to trim your pubic hair,the hair catches onto lots of things, so just trim it and it'll be okay

It could be lots of things, but as you have explained that you have long pubic hair it could just be sweat, which irritates the surrounding and underlining skin, you need to wear cotton underwear which allow your privates to breathe.

It could be a fungal infection.  The same types of fungi that cause jock itch in men can also affect females.

Don't listen to that idiot phenomen!!1 Doesn't necessarily mean you have the crabs????  I have the same thing also. I'm not sure what causes it, but I am menapausol and someone told me thats probally what causes mine. BUT it doesn't mean you have the CRABS. other things cause ITCH besides the CRABS. That other guy needs to get his nind out of the gutter.

Could be fungal infection.  You didn't specify your age - cos menopausal age women tends to have itch too as the cells dry up.
