Is Abraham Lincoln part Black?

Im just wondering if Abraham Lincoln has any african american in his blood to see if Obama is or isnt going to be the first black president.

One doesn't have to have black ancestry in order to have compassion for black Americans.  It is plain basic humanity ,and in the case of Abraham Lincoln a feeling of kinship with the poor and the downtrodden that came from Christian conviction.  As a result, he was assassinated, for Christian love in this world is always crucified.

No. African Americans at that time were not allowed to be President of the United States. They were still slaves until Abraham Lincoln freed them.

It's possible that Lincoln had African blood in him with the theory being that his mother was of Melungeon descent.  Melungeons being a group of people from the southeast of America who were descendants of freed or escaped African American slaves and intermarried with Europeans and Native Americans.  It's hard to know though since birth records didn't really exist back then. Lincoln probably isn't the only president with some African American ancestry. It has been rumored for years that Warren G. Harding had an African American great-grandmother.

Uh, no. in fact, Lincoln's ancestor Samuel Lincoln had arrived in Hingham, Massachusetts, in the seventeenth century but his descendants had gradually moved west, from Pennsylvania to Virginia and then westward to the frontier. His parents were fairly affluent, but non-educated.

And hopefully Obama won't be president. If he has it his way, the entire US military system and defense program will be disbanded.

This is so OBVIOUS that it is insulting to those who try to give honest answers for good questions.  But even though this is a stupid question I will attempt to give you the best information I can.  From what I understand, no Abraham Lincoln does not have African DNA.  

However? Queen Elizabeth II of England most assuredly does.

I think you need to read your history of life, from all sides, it is rude of you to commit such flagrant silliness, Obama is not yet President, he must be voted in.  

Also? Since Mr. Lincoln had already WON the vote to be the President, and since slaves did not have the right to VOTE (DUH), his move to free slaves IN THE SOUTH, which had seceded from the Union, so he did not actually have the right to do such. So in reality he merely made a political move.  The Slaves heard that they were freed and left plantations, however some stayed with what they knew and worked along side their masters.

How did I learn this information? I picked up BOOKS and took my time to actually LEARN something.

Imagine that? One does not have to be White to know history, One does not have to be Black to care about another race, one does not have to be Stupid to learn.
