Is America the new Rome?

is our empire going to follow the same path? Are our heads too big? What are our major flaws?

No, it is the new Khaysher, with so many dietary warnings, frightenings, instructions about gastronomy.

our heads are too big, new world order, police of the world, the bully's of the playground so to speak

think back on who conquered Brittan and then 1500 hundred years or so (or more) later those brittians got sick of their king and came over here.. but where does their ancestry originate from?... rome!

It may or may not be.  It's good to be introspective, but there is no need to be fatalistic.  All nations go through periods of highs and lows although not every one can be the world's leader like America has been.  Be proud of your country, if nothing else, for its democracy, history and the spirit of its people, even if someday America is no longer as prosperous as it once was.  And I am speaking from the point of view of an immigrant.

That said, America is certainly NOT free of problems.  Our foreign policies have been terrible.  As a country, I feel America is too self-centered, and I would very much like to see ethics be taught in school as I believe the lack of ethics is the root of many, many social problems.
