Going to Aruba in May with my husband on our honeymoon.

I have family there but I don't want to rely on them for any costs and would like independence while there so can anyone tell me based in US dollars, how much I might spend? Prices of cabs? restaurants? scuba? similar activities?

any other activities i should know?

thanks!

  1. aruba, is one of the nicest islands and one of the more expensive ones. airfate from ny direct is about 450.00 a person and for a week at the all inclusive  staying at the westin, is going to cost my husband and i roughly 4 grand, for the week of august 30 2008, i, have heard its one of the most expensive resort , but is worth every penny according to my 2 brother in laws, who recently went there on there honeymoones, and also according to my travel agent, hope this helps

  2. Thats an open ended question, it depends on where you stay, if you go all-inclusive or frequent the "locals" hang-outs.

If you have family there, definetly get their input on the things to do list such as snorkling, Baby's Beach, De Palm Island.

    Go to this site:    http://www.aruba.com

it has a list of hotels, things to do, etc.

try this site for a car rental:   http//:www.carrentals.com

for hotel, I recommend La Cabana. I also like Holiday Inn SunSpree. I usually spend 500-750$ but I own a home so I rent a car while I'm there for the week.

    Congratulations!

  3. Ok Aruba is expensive as it solely relies on tourism.

Taxi could be $10 for a short distance.

Restaurants dinner for 2 is roughly $100

Scuba for beginners package should be around $400

    Just dives around $100

Bars are almost like prices in mainland.

You have lots of activities like fishing, catamarans and stuff like that.

Good Luck and Enjoy your stay in Aruba.

  4. how much you spend? Depends how long you gonna stay....And whats your budget,,,

Prices of cabs? from 5$ to 40$ Depending where you are and where you going... But avrage would be around 10-11$

Restaurants? again what's your budget the most expensive restaurant would be like he said around 100$ but you can easly pay 50$ at any normal restaurant, we also have wendys pizza hut taco bell mcdonalds burger king kfc for you americans :P

Scuba? Depends how many dives around 200-300 $

Similar activities? Lol what? Around same or lower price
