There is no skill involved in Baccarat as the "player" and "banker" dealing rules are fixed. To make the game more fun, players will often bend or (where permitted) rip the cards. This is usually not permitted in "mini-Baccarat" games, however.

That being said, card-counting is THEORETICALLY possible in Baccarat. However, it is not nearly as profitable as card counting in Blackjack because 1. The starting house edge is 1%+, as opposed to less than 0.5% in Blackjack 2. Dealing decisions cannot be modified during a favorable/unfavorable count (in Blackjack, players may hit/stand/double/split more or less often based on the count).

A simple answer is NO.

Baccarat is a casino game in which the house has the edge. Therefore, there is absolutely no "luck" involved. You will lose 100% of the time over an extended sample size.

However, you will see winning periods during this sample and these are called "lucky" streaks by gamblers. Don't be naive, understand that you are losing about 1% of every dollar you place on the table, period.

in my opinion yes it is all about luck. you can get the baccarat score card and keep track of what has happend, but would the casino really help you win. so good luck

The answer is yes.  Just like roulette, its completely random to the cards. You can have red hit on rouletter 100 times in a row and say black has to come up and pay the mortgage payment on black and red will come up another 50 times.

Betting on player pays a hair better. Its a boring hard game to win at. I dont even think the games where you can touch or rip the cards is very fun. I stick with BJ where you can control your game a bit better with counting and betting.
