  1. love frankie and benny's.. my kids are good there too, none of those screaming kids that run around everywhere.. sometimes it takes a while to get seated but its not often, they also play all the tunes i like and have decent food... an enjoyable experience whether you are part of a large group, just the two of you an even if you are going out with the kids...

  2. ive been to frankie and bennys a few times and think its good.foods good.you should have a good time.hope you enjoy, happy xmas.

  3. YOU should enjoy it, although the drinks are very expensive and the music?? can be load

  4. Yes, good atmosphere, great food, fab children's menu and lovely *except* for the blimmin dog (or whatever it is) that comes out every time it's someone's birthday - you get blasted with "Congratulations" by Cliff Richard and a dressed up dog comes out.  It's really loud and after about 10 times it gets very annoying!

  5. It's mediocre. Based purely on my personal experience, I'd say terrible, but, I know plenty of people that seem to think it's OK and I've only been once (and I can be, admittedly, a bit of a snob when it comes to food). So, I guess it can't be that bad.

Firstly, large, chain restaurants are never THAT good.

In my experience, the food was of poor quality and over-priced. I had a pizza, just a simple margarita. Hard to mess up, I thought. It was like a soggy cream cracker with a small amount of tomato sauce, an even smaller amount of cheese and what appeared to be an attempt to mask the crappiness with tons of fresh basil. I also had a side order of fries. A small handful of dry fries. Not what I was expecting at 2 quid a portion.

But, like I said, I know plenty of people that go there and say it's OK. From what I gather, so long as you stick to ordering something from the grill, you should be OK.

What you also have to remember is that one Frankie and Benny's could differ significantly from the next. Each one has differen't chefs that differ in taste, ability and technique. The area it's in and the time of day you go could determine whether or not there are loads of screaming kids running around.

Besides, it's a christmas do, Christmas dos are rarely about the eating and more about the drinking and being merry. I'm sure you'll have a good time.

  6. I like Frankie & Benny's food, but I dunno parents always seem to take their kids there and having screaming children running round and the sort of 'kid's play area/ball pit' odour spoils it for me...

  7. yes!!!!! its great! yes sometimes theres wingey kids and that but where dont you get that now? the food is always perfect, its reasonably priced, well worth it. much better than TGI fridays!

  8. depends, the one in st anns square in manchester is excellent, i have been two quite a few and the menus are excellent its not always the same quality of cooking or service tho

  9. I'vce never been but I know a few people that have and they said that it was good

  10. It's a decent American style diner - I've always had good food there.  It's not haute cuisine but if you like Pasta, Pizza or grills you should enjoy it.

I have always found the service is excellent so hopefully you'll have a good party!  Enjoy.

  11. Depends what one and what day of the week/time you go. I've been to c**p ones and good ones but if it's a xmas 'do' chances are you will have a good time - just don't expect a culinary delight - the food is ok but is obviously typical american fayre.
