Is Golf in the Olympics?

Other than Ryder Cup, is golf a sport in the olympics? It would be great if people all over the world (instead of only US and European) compete in golf.

No but it will be interesting if they had it....  right!  only for amateur players.

Golf was in the Olympics twice, in 1900 and 1904. I think logistically it is a difficult proposition, but there has been a push to put in back in. I don't think we'll see it happening any time soon though.

no it is not. however if it were to be included it should be open only to amatuers. If it gos the way of basketball only the superstars play and all the smaller countries play on an uneven field..I am not sure golf is a sport for viewing pleasure and whats popular on TV is what sponsors are willing to pay for..
