That's best case scenario.
India has no control over its' population growth, nor has ever shown any will to do so.
It has dreadful infrastructure.
Currently, China is building the largest deep water port complex in the world in Shanghai, complete with dedicated heavy rail lines.
In comparison, most of India's deep water ports are now too shallow for the next generation of cargo ships.
China's population is predicted to be moderately affluent- not Western standard affluent- but above poverty levels.
India currently has 700 million extreme poor, a nuclear weapons system it can barely afford and the only place in the world where the age old scourge of leprosy is actually rapidly increasing.
India claims an edge on IT/help-desking. But China is finishing a one million ha specialist IT/help-desk park with its' own dedicated English school.
