What happend to the Jimmie and Jeff bashers? Do you secretly want to see Jimmie and Jeff give Kyle a hard time for a win? I do. I wanna see some intense racing. Jimmie and Jeff have been having so much problems this season that it just looks like bad luck. You know that can't switch around that fast. Do you think Kyle will be able to hold off the HMS crew?

  1. He has a lot of talent, and is very aggressive, I enjoy watching him race.

  2. I think that Kyle is the only one with that burning desire right now. And as long as the JR. nation and media keep fanning the flame, his desire will only intensify.

  3. kyle is awesome. noone will catch him

  4. Kylie is the "bad boy" right now and when it's time, he will get what's coming and yes unchallenged for the moment until NASCAR takes a good look at the advantage Toyota has..25-35 more horsepower than chevy, ford and dodge???go figure.............is someone looking the other way or money filling pockets..u decide...............if is smells like fish..then it must be CRAPPY..lol..btw..GO HENDRICKS

  5. I think it's only a matter of time before Jeff and Jimmie are back in the running and giving everyone a run for it!! They've had a bad start but hopefully that'll change soon and I'm also hoping that Jr will still be leading the HMS pack and giving Kyle a run for the money!!

  6. as much as i love to see my boy win, i far prefer to see him challenged for the win, rather than just running away with it.  same every race.  it's good every now and then to see an incredibly dominating performance (kurt busch, pocono last year; the #20 nationwide car, most races), but i want to see a battle for the win.  and right now, carl edwards seems to be the only driver seriously challenging busch, but not in any given race - just for overall wins.

but that will change.  just as carl shot out of the gate hot then cooled a bit, now kyle is running hot.  i expect to see tony, dale, jimmy, jeff and carl challenging him more as the season goes on.

  7. Kyle is definitely not running unchallenged.  He has all the RCR drivers on his tail, his own teammates, 3 out of the 4 HMS cars, Carl and Greg.  I'd say that Carl, Denny and Jimmie will be the 3 drivers that have the best chance to win the championship, other than Kyle.  I think that the 48 team is doing some "testing" type stuff in some of the races and were a little behind early on because they couldn't start getting ready for this season until the last one was over.  They were focused on winning a championship last year when other teams were already testing for 2008.  Carl had the early edge this year but the cat is out of the bag as far as the handling advantage they had enjoyed.  Denny has led the most laps and actually run better than Kyle but he's had some late race incidents keep him from getting a couple of wins he should have had (Bristol and Richmond).  Just because Kyle is looking very dominant now doesn't mean he's going to be in the driver's seat come chase time.  We will see, it should be a blast this year.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  8. It sure looks like it! I like his style of racing!!! I like it when they are all mad racing!! That's what it's all about!!!! I like Kyle, I just wish he was not driving a Toyota...... Blaaaaa But he is a good driver either way! I sure wish Kahne would get his butt up there! LOL Not too sure what his deal is this year??? We'll see if he does hold them off!

    ****edit****

You know the people who say he should ease his driving are sissys!!!!!!! LOL

  9. I dont care who challenges him as long as someone does and does it real fast or he is going to run away with it. The past few years its been JJ & jeff Gordon winning week after week, this year its Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards winning all the time. It looks like not only will he have to worry about HMS, you have to throw RCR and maybe Roush in the mix.

  10. I dont know but he is cocky sometimes but has so much talent.

  11. No he is not at Richmond he was challenged for the win by Jr. before he turned him in corner 3

  12. No...he just has better equipment unfortunately.

Jimmie and Jeff are getting there...they will be there come this summer.

    Yea

Maybe...but I hope not...Busch needs to ease his agressiveness.

  13. I d like to see Kyle race Jimmy hard

    and spin Jr out

  14. Think Days of Thunder. Cole Trickle (Kyle) could do no wrong until......

It is simply his time. He has the desire, drive and team behind him to win.

Look at how many times he hit the wall last week and still burned the track up!

  15. I'm going to agree with Rowdy's World, I like to see him win, but he should have to at least work for the win..

Kyle vs. Team Hendrick, hmm..that ought to be interesting, I've stated before, Kyle Busch is on a mission, he will not be satisfied until the mission is complete, he'll do fine against the HMS boys provided one thing, he needs to keep his head on straight, this is something Kyle struggles with at times, if he can keep it together, he'll be fine..

  16. Right now there is only one driver that can challenge him and that is Carl Edwards and possibly Dale Jr though Jr needs to win at least one race before I can put him against Kyle Busch. The summer races will reveal which team and/or driver will be able to challenge Busch and Edwards. Of course that is what I expected last year that others would step up and compete with the 24 and 48, but that did not happen as those two just dominated the season last year. The key question I have concerning Kyle is right now he has no pressure from anyone, all he wants to do is win. However, during the chase in the past he has not peformed well at all and I think he fails due to the intense pressure of the Chase. That is the one thing that can keep him down otherwise he is the leading favorite to win the title.

  17. No

    DON'T KNOW

    No

No I think HMS may be sandbagging and saving something for the chase. That's the reason they changed the lower control arm on Jr's car last week (experimenting)

  18. It runs in cycles.  Kyle is the dominant driver right now.  But if you remember the first 5 or 6 races of the year Carl Edwards was the dominant driver.  It happens all the time in Nascar.  A team/driver gets a lot of momentum and gets on a hot streak.  As far as Jeff and Jimmie, both of those teams focused on the championship at the end of last year while all the other teams were preparing for 2008.  The #24 and #48 are getting better and I don't think we have seen all that they have yet.  From what I have been reading Hendrick teams have been doing a lot of testing.  I expect them to be hard to handle once we get into the summer stretch and into the chase.

  19. Kyle has talent and determination going for him, and now that he's at JGR, he has an owner who knows how to channel him.  He's going to dominate for years to come.  That said, there are a number of other great drivers in nascar that will always challange him.

    Go Rowdy!!
