Luol Deng (not Dang) is going to be in Europe in August to play with the British team in the European Championship qualifying tournament.  So that is what  you might have heard, but he is not leaving the NBA.

It's just that he is a restricted free agent right now, looking for a lucrative long-term deal with the Chicago Bulls.  If they don't give it to him, he'll sign a one year qualifying offer for $4.5 million and then become an unrestricted free agent next summer, but he's not leaving the NBA.
