By picking Palin in an attempt to woo the Hillary voters? Is he putting himself first, instead of the best interests of this country should he happen to kick the bucket?

  1. He's down 3 points in the polls.  I would have respected him more if he had chosen Romney or Huckleby (even Ron Paul).

  2. Well that question is Moot if he does not get elected. So first and foremost he must win and if his VP pick does it, then so be it.

  3. YES

  4. McCain already had hillary's votes, without Palin, since hillary's clan don't like obama. What McCain did do was pick a VP with more experience than the libs choice for POTUS....

  5. Definitely. Talk about inexperience. You have an octogenarian and the one tipped to replace him hasn't even run a decent sized raffle yet.

McCain has picked her for the poll benefits, not because she is fit for the job.

The terrifying thing is that a lot of those Hillary supporters are so dumb it might just work

  6. Selfish, arrogant, stupid, out of touch with reality, Harriet Myers..need I go on? This has to be the LAMEST VP pick in history. So much for the Maverick...to him, a skirt is a skirt.

  7. If he picked her to try and woo Hillary voters, he's not selfish - he's absolutely stupid.

Hillary voters don't like pro-life creationist freaks like Palin.

  8. No.

He is clear that it is time to break the Glass Ceiling, and he chose the best choice who would say, "Yes".

We keep being told what a risk it is.  Seems he can't be being "selfish" and taking a "risk" at the same time.

It would be more foolish to put an inexperienced President into White House.

    Democrats for McCain.

  9. McCain's choice of Palin is a fine example of his judgement. He's willing to do anything nesscary to win the presidency shame on you McCain I've lost all respect I've had in you.

Your country first motto is BS, Sarah Palin is not ready to be president she's only ready to help gain the women vote and help McCain win.

  10. Is the question serious.  Now McCain is selfish because he is doing something to help himself get elected.  What do you think the whole campaign process is about.  It is candidates doing what it takes to get elected.  Please tell me that you do understand the concepts of campaigns.  As to the best interest of the country, at least our least experienced person is number two on the ticket.  Is Obama putting himself first instead of the good of the country by not running for VP and having Biden be first on their ticket.

  11. No! i think he was being wise to appeal to all voters in his choice, she is union after all that will attract union voters and the average working man,, which my husband is and he is all for her as the choice and i totally agree. sure he picked her to appeal to wemon, what is wrong with that, the dems chose Obama to appeal to black and mexican voters so what in heck is the difference ?

  12. he´s being clever -he knows his choice is gonna get him a lot of votes from women and evengelicals, two groups that might swing the election in his favor............BTW, Mc Cain is the lesser of two evils...

  13. yes becasue he was boring and now people are watching ..his ads didnt work so he had to come up with plan B quick,...

  14. No.

How do you know his precise intent? If he were only concerned about winning, he would have picked Hillary.

Obviously, he cares more about the country.

  15. Yes, very much. This undermines all his "country first" rethoric.

McCain is willing to risk having that unqualified lady become commander in chief in these troubled times just to win a few votes. Can anyone seriously argue she'll be ready on day one if that should be necessary?

Is that country first? Risking the future of America's children to pick up some female voters? What an insult to the intelligence of the good American people

  16. Sounds like fear.   If Sara is VP for a month, she will have more experience than the messiah.....  Don't worry sweetheart, you will come around.

I love this chick.  A woman who can outride me on a snowmobile has my vote.

  17. I'm not sure about selfish, but it is certainly the most puzzling VP pick I have ever seen.  Mrs. Palin is unlikely to bring in the undecided votes Mr. McCain will need to win this election.
