Is Mechanical Engineering right for me?

Question

I'm only 15, but I really think Engineering would be great for me. I love building & thinking things through. Math is my best subject, but I don't know if Mechanical Engineering would be a little boring. What's a typical day like for a Mechanical Engineer and what exactly do they DO? My uncle is one and he builds air conditioners.. I know there must be some more exciting careers, but I don't really understand the different types of vocations you can obtain with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Please give as much info as possible.. Thanks!

if your interest is mathematics, I think civil eng'g or computer engineering would be best. but if you want a balance of everything, mech'l eng'g will be fine. I am a mechanical engineer and majority of my experience is in steel making. now I am in oil and gas industry. I think mechanical engineers are fortunate to be in almost all industries playing a major role. hope this helps.

mechanical engineering is the root of all engineering.you will find it more interesting when you became a mechanical engineer.
