He was raised by a muslim father, kept his muslim name, yet claims to be Christian. Is Obama secretly a Muslim, but playing the religion card to his advantage?

I couldn't say it any better than "Matthew H".   Senator Obama was two years old when his father left the family.  Also, a true Muslim would never pretend to be a Christian, or SAY that he is a Christian.  This has been discussed a zillion times!

I don't think he is Muslim, but I certainly don't believe he is Christian. If you look at his religious records, you'll find that his converting to Christianity is very convenient for his political races. Besides, I don't count the United Church of Trinity to be a real church anyways. I look at it as more of a group of racists who sit around and talk bad about white people and call it a sermon. So, I think he is atheist.

haha.  obama was raised by a muslim father?.... i think not.  his father ran out on his mother and him..... so im pretty sure he is not a muslim.  anyway why would that matter?  there are millions of muslim americas who love america just as much as any christian.  trying to scare people into not liking someone based on religion is a great evil.  if you going to say why people shouldnt vote for obama, criticize his policies not his religion.... even though he is  a christian. being a christian doesnt make you a good president or even a moral president.  just look at bush who is a devout christian and claims to read the bible every day..... he practically ruined americas economy, military, reputation, and morale.  he has also allowed the torturing of people who may or may not have information on terrorists.  what would jesus do?  would jesus torture his enemies? i think not.  so that just proves that being a 'christian' doesnt make you morally superior to everyone else...

He was raised by his CHRISTIAN grandparents from the age of ten, and he was named after his father( who he saw only once since he was 2), and who cares if it is islamic.  The name "John" originates from יוחנן Yôḥānnān, which makes it hebrew, does that mke McCain Jewish? No,  He was named after his father just Obama was. So the answer to your question is No, he's not "secretly" a Muslim.
