Is Olympic too short?

I think is better they extend longer, so it doesn't skip many of the event for the prime time.

It wouldn't matter because every nation has to deal with television time slots regardless of the host cities. They have replays to solve this problem. Plus 16 days is probably the longest the Olympics has run in recent times.

we all miss it very much, but i think that two weeks is long enough for all the events.

it's like watching a movie isn't it? we always wish they've added in more details into the film, but when we watch something for too long, the whole thing is overkilled and at the end of it you don't enjoy is as much.

YES.  It should be about three weeks, because there's not enough rest for the more intensive sports like football and boxing.  The boxers are all exhausted in the gold medal bouts, and anyone who watches football knows that 4 days rest is minimum, 2-3 days is really stretching it and they start using reserve players to rotate.

I think it's alright with the Olympic duration now. 2 weeks should be alright. 3 weeks is too long and it'll distrupt my routine..LOL..

Actually, I don't think I could have taken much more.  I watched it every single evening, since Day One, and I'm now burned out from all of the coverage.

Yes, i think it is too short. Too many events happened at the same time (on different places), too hard to capture each.... so only have to choose what interest you most. Donno why. Maybe, it's easier for the athletes, so  they don't have to stay in a place too long (cost related)...

Yupp i rekon they are and theres so many things happening at once. Maybe they should spread events out more and allow for more days.They always come and go so fast.

it certainly felt like a very short 17 days. i'm really really REALLY going to miss it. but i think making too much longer would be overkill.

well, if you think it's too short, you can call it Olympic Games, that makes the phrase longer.

No, it's too long. NBC had so much time to fill, they were showing every dive by every diver in every round of diving. That sport is old news. Whoever makes the smallest splash wins. End of story. (*snore*)
