They don't have time and don't care for this. There were probably two guys who either were over-zealous or self-righteous or two guys who don't like you, don't like these type of questions or don't like one of your fans. They could be "professional" trolls or some who tested the water.. Or maybe somebody confused the S&M with Sado-Masochism, it is a known abbreviation for that. And they reported the question without reading the details.

There is a thin line of what is considered chat, solicitation, rant, a line which Yahoo staff doesn't really care to clarify and is left to interprertation of anybody. You can win the appeal but  they are not sensible to nuances or irony. Meanwhile, you lose time and nerves with the appeals. For example,  they don't even show you the details of your question.

The good thing is that you can report insults or racists comments. Or avatar games and similar abuses. See the positive side.

What do you mean by "S&M"--because I would bet that would be the reason your question was deleted, likely automatically.

1. Y!A is free.

2. You get what you pay for.

Violations and deletions are not based on due process, and appeals are not even read.

Unfortunately it is. As for me, I try only to answer the questions, where I can see why the asker is stuck. and there isn't going to be a change unless everyone wakes up and stops doing those lazy kids homeworks.

Yes it is  becoming homework central and as things progress teachers will look at Y!A for people asking questions and potentially cheating. However this will create a dilema because people will have to be identified from their codenames. Now, the immediate response to that is to look at the persons' 360 page or simply thier name. But those savy will cover thier tracks or simply have someone else post for them. And so it will go. Some inexperienced people will be caught. Others will find a way around it. Regarding your S&M posting being deleted, that was because it referenced Sado-Masochism, which I thought could be discussed in surface detail on the site. But I'm relatively new to Y!A so I'm learning as I go. Some people post questions about "how they can please their partner more sexually" and I haven't seen those deleted, nor have I seen questions about people smoking dope deleted which amazes me. There was a question just two days ago by a guy who asked if it was okay to combine a certain OTC drug with dope. He said something to the effect of, "I'm taking Xanax and smoking marijuana and I'm experiencing paranoia and problems with my high. Is this combination of drugs okay?" Oh I answered the question alright. I said "If you think you are paranoid and having problems now just wait till the feds come knocking at your door. You're discussing illegal drug use on the internet where everyone can see it get with the program." And I was the only person that said something. All the other answerers were like, "debating" it and giving this guy their opinions. And then of course there was a posting from someone in Religion and Spirituality trying to get a convert. There is always at least one. Anyway this post is getting too long. In "Cleaning and Maintenance" I tried to tell someone to use "Sp*c n' Span" to clean shelves for a roach problem and the "Sp*c" was made into all stars! heeheehee Best to you from Scanner.
