I am a musician so I have all necessary tools for recording audio and I am also a poet, so last month I decided to put together a spoken word/poetry album with simple/background music and themes. I have about 10 tracks recorded.

I'm releasing my album (Soul Revivin') on August 5th (My artist name is Justin Rockwell)

Is this a good idea or what??

  1. Anything to get it out is a good idea to me. As a recovered Jazz guitarist, I like the idea very much. A little Miles (Kind of Blue) background sounds especially nice.

  2. How could it be bad? To be a success by working hard, and using your talents is a great atribute.

A lot of people have talents, but are unable to enforce them, usually due to lack of knowing anyone in the business, like marketing, and contacts into recording agencies. If you have them, go for it. I hope you succeed.

Better to work, and try hard to be great, than to sit on your buns and get welfare.

  3. It sounds really great!!! Good luck with everything!!! =)

  4. Sounds intriguing and lovely all at the same time...nothing wrong with mystery! It's a great seller...do your damndest when you make the next one, and the next, and the next......

  5. For some reason this brought back the name of a teacher I had in school and thought his name would be so appropriate for  your artist name,!

If is already in stone your Justin Rockwell  then fine, just thought it would go so perfect to change your artist name to this one instead!

    Justin Tyme or Justin Time

Seems to me it would go so well with your album Soul Revivin')

Just a thought !!!  Cheers!!  Good Luck to you also!!!

  6. im loving it

    good luck
