I mean he has a Wii, Ps3, XBOX360, PSP, 2 laptops, $300 cell phone, PS2, XBOX, iPod Nano 8gb and his parents constantly buy him new $100+ video games and he gets $20 per week allowance. By the way, this kid is only 12 YEARS OLD!!!! Is this ultra-spoiled? Surely it must be?

  1. Spoiled means to me that a kid gets whatever he whines for.  It's possible that this kid simply gets a lot of stuff.  Some parents, for varying reasons, shower their kids with expensive things.  Doesn't quite mean the kids are spoiled.  Verucca Salt in Charlie in the Chocolate Factory was spoiled because she had all the adults in her life tied around  her little finger.

My kids often wonder about what it would be like if they had an unlimited amount of money.  We go through what they would buy and when they run out of ideas, I ask them, ok now what are you looking forward to?  And also, are you happier than all the other kids?  The answer is always, no, they're not really happier once the novelty has worn off.  They have classmates who get everything they want and I've asked them if these classmates are happier than everyone else.  Answer -- No.   A very early lesson that money can't buy happiness.

It really depends on the demeanor of the kid.  My daughter and son's best friend has tons of stuff too.  Her parents are separated and they give her lots of stuff.  But she's not spoiled.  She doesn't brag about her stuff, nor does she whine for more.  It's simply stuff she has.

It's a little sad that a kid should have so much stuff though.  Because there's so much to be gained by a kid really wanting something, earning it and looking forward to getting it.  There's so much joy in the anticipation of getting something you've really been looking forward to.  But when kids simply get stuff without getting the opportunity to look forward to it, they are being robbed of a very simple pleasure.  If this kid already has so much, then what does he have to look forward to?

  2. This makes me sick.

This child is in for a RUDE awakening when all of a sudden one day he wakes up and learns he is an adult and the WORLD is not going to hand him everything like mommy and daddy does.

What in the world has happened to the PARENTS these days! They hand kids everything they want not CARING that they are hurting, not helping, their children.

  3. that child is  Spoiled Rotten

  4. yes, we have all that suff but only the laptop is mine and it was only 350.00$.

  5. "Spoiled" has more to do with behavior than material possessions.

Yes, he has lots of stuff.  "Spoiled?"  We don't know.

  6. I would consider him spoiled.  None of my kids have laptops, they all share the same computer that is in the family room.  They have one PS2 game system and maybe 10 games, They rent games on line by the way.  They do not get an allowance, I don't believe in paying children to live under the roof that I provide for them.  But if this child's parents want to waste their money into turning him into an obese dullwitted buffoon I say more power to them.

  7. Spoiled, probably, but maybe he actually does things around the house to help, earns good grades etc and has earned these items.  Our kids have the Wii, Xbox, Xbox360, PS2 Ps3, they each have a PSP, an ipod, phone, computer etc but they have to earn them.  They do chores save their money and when they save half then we will pay the other half.  We are not rich but we are comfortable and got where we are by hard work which is what we teach our kids.  If the want it they will earn it and maybe it is this way with this kid.

  8. Ultra-spoiled, yes.  Why are you so concerned with it?

  9. yah!!

  10. No, he's fortunate to have parents that can buy him this stuff,,

  11. yep he sure is

  12. most definitely.... i'm going to be 20 and i dont have half that stuff. ig uess what matters is if he deserves it... does he get good grades? does he behave/do his chores?

if so, then i guess its ok, but i still wouldn't just give off stuff to my child like that... that's probably bad for them.

  13. It sounds spoiled, but that's okay if he's a really good kid, I guess.

I mean if the kid acts like a brat and doesn't do chores or anything, then the parents should start disciplining him instead of buying him all that junk.

But yeah, if its a really good kid then that's okay I guess....

    He's lucky.

  14. Yeah the kid is ultra-spoiled, but maybe he is a very good kid so he gets rewarded. The parents must be really rich, so they can afford to spoil him.

  15. This is a spoilt rotten kid, but there are people that are even more spoilt. I heard of this boy who was 13, and got $700 pocket money A WEEK. And he set out to kill his parents because he didn't think he was getting enough!

  16. YES!

  17. Um yes - and they / he will regret it later.

  19. it depends.

is he whining for all these things or are u just giving it to him?

also i think this based on  the parents view considering if they can afford it and all.
