  1. you have got to be kidding or you just dont know anything about golf.

  2. What are you hinking? Have you ever even watched tiger play? Were you not watching round 3 of the US Open last night. He made his way to first place on one knee. Tiger Woods is the best to ever play the game.

  3. No. If you watched him play Saturday, you would have seen him deliver on all the hype. I like Phil, but folding on his home course doesn't seem to indicate any betterness. Phil good, Tiger better, final answer,

  4. h**l No, Tiger is the greatest.

  5. He is the best player in an era with the highest quality competition.  This makes him the greatest, and not overrated in the least.  Phil is a good player, but look at the stats.  The numbers speak for themselves.

  6. if you think phil is better, look at the standings. Who's in first place? TIGER WOODS!! HE RULES!!

  7. It's 2008!  The Mickelson/Woods comparison is over!

  8. I will start out by saying that i have no favorite golfer. I just enjoy watching the game and by no means am i biased to Tiger in any way. Tiger Woods is absolutly not overrated. How can you say that you think Phil is better? Look at the numbers. Tiger has 13 major wins (soon to be 14). Phil has 3. (tiger had 3 major wins in 2000 alone). Tiger has almost double the PGA TOUR wins than Phil has (64 and 34 respectively). Tigers career earnings top $81mil while Phil is just over 49mil. In the Ryder Cup points race, Tiger has 8665.63 points in 12 events. Phil has 4244.57 points and has competed in 6 more events than Tiger. Tiger Woods is the best golfer in the world. No questions. He is argueably the greatest golfer to ever step foot on this earth. Jack Nicklaus had 18 major wins in a 25 year career, while tiger already has 13 majors in his 12 year career. Let this years US OPEN be an example to everyone: Tiger can play some of the most difficult shots any golfer could face with precision and confidence. If his knee holds up through today, he will walk away with his 14th major win. And if im not mistaken, im pretty sure everyone has given up hope for a hometown win for Phil. I give Phil all the respect in the world. He is an incredibly talented golfer, but he is not of the same caliber as Mr. Woods.  Best of luck to both of these incredible men in their golfing futures.

  9. Woods is the finest golfer in the history of the game.  Period.

  10. Phil isn't very good for two reasons; he doesn't finish and he is inconistent. Tiger is 13/13 when having the lead on the final day of a major. Plus you never hear commentators talking about jack, arnold, and the other greats with phil. NEVER! It is always with tiger. And look at this us open Phil was going to win right, home courses, tiger is hurt and look what he does..... gets a nine!

  11. That's what makes horse races, differences of opinion. If you believe, then you believe despite the fact that statistics say otherwise. Loyalty is an admirable quality. Don't let it distort your vision.

  12. Tiger is not overrated, whether you like him or not you can't call him overrated.  I do think he was overrated for his first two years on tour though when he had won only one major and all you heard about was how great he was.  But after 2000 he earned his stripes.  Tiger may not be overrated be I think he may be the luckiest golfer in the history of the game, I am not taking away from his skills, but the shots he pulled off in the 3rd round he even admitted to being luck.  I have logged more hours than probably anybody my age watching golf and after seeing what I saw Saturday in the open I thought to myself God must REALLY like Tiger Woods.

As for Phil, he is just your typical choke slam tour player now days that would melt down any time Tiger is in contention.  Tiger generally beats Phil like a drum, it's hard to see how anyone would say Phil was better, some people might like Phil better and he has pulled some miracles off himself, but never against Tiger, people rarely pull miracles off against Tiger.  Have you seen all the miracles and improbable shots people like Watson and Trevino pulled off to beat Jack Nicklaus, you just dont see that against Tiger, and thats not taking anything away from Woods, just a disservice to the game.
