I've heard they test alcohol on animals. If so, does this classify alcohol as not being vegan?

  1. No, they test alcohol on people. There are human tasters that taste every batch to make sure it meats the companies specs. Getting payed to drink sounds like a good job doesn't it? :-P

  2. Alcohol is tested on animals. Thats why your dog acts drunk all the time..LOL

  3. Dude if I was a Vegan, Alcohol would not be on my list of thangs to avoid. Steak neither. Or hot dogs. Sausage, pork chops, or any kind of potted meat product. I would avoid tofu, bean sprouts, and soy milk. Dang Californians. Gonna declare Chicken as an endangered species. Yep if it is anywhere around my plate it is definately in danger!

  4. What kind of alcohol?  There are hundreds of different types and many ways to make it.

  5. It depends on the kind of alcohol. A lot of wines use sturgen(spelling?) aka fish bladders as a clarifyer in their wines. Im not sure which ones so I just stear clear of wine in general. As far as beer goes, I don't think they use any animal ingredients but Im not 100% sure. Look up vegan alcohol and Im sure you'll get the answer your looking for.

EDIT: OOOOOOhhhhhhh is it tested on animals. Sorry misread the question. No, alcohol is not tested on animals. They have professional tasters for that, yes there is such a thing as a professional taster.

  6. If it is tested on animals, we must stop this.

Give ME all the alcohol. i'll try it all ;)

    (as long as it's vegetarian)
