Is america short of police officers?

me and my boyfriend want to move to america from the UK. Im a nurse and should have no problems getting a job, however my partner is training to be a police officer? Is there shortage of police in any states (particulary florida), so he would find it easy to get a job and visa?!?

  1. Yeah, I know in Tampa  they are hiring, but I don't know about Miami.


  2. yes.  short of law enforcement and short of respect for the law and short of people mature enough to take responsibility  for  their actions

  3. yes, but unfortunately they often tend to pay less than most places and this tends to make cops move around looking for better pay.

  4. short or not, it's always nice to become a police officer. but don't let him just be a police officer. let him aim for a higher target. let him go SWAT. =D

    goals.. aim high for the sky so that when you fall, you still land on the roof and not on the ground. Ü

  5. You have to be a US citizen to become a police officer in the US.  Departments are always looking for officers.
