Is being pessimistic bad?

someone said i was.... which i guess is true, but is that bad?

i mean not like im going to change myself because someone doesnt like something about me.

It does not hurt to be a pessimist, but it can be bad if you are on a more extreme end of it.  It wouldn't hurt to be a little more optimistic, but hey there is nothing 'wrong' with being a pessimist.

to some extent it is like having a sense of realism.

as long as you dont allow it to cloud all other judgement its alright.

everything in moderation is always best.

I've felt much better since I've been pessimistic (Then again I never really smiled when I was little or ever really had any fun in my life).

Being optimistic leads to a worse lifestyle- You throw stuff away you take for granted and you delude yourself into some narcissistic and annoying and flat-out retarded ideal that the world is your oyster.

Not to mention pessimists are better conversationalists at times- I mean as long as they're not complaining all the time or calling too much. How often can you hear how great it is that the sky is blue and the grass is green? It starts to p**s you off after hearing it a hundred times. Just like how I'm feeling nauseous and gritting my teeth when someone is telling me how great their baby is- or their boyfriend- or their wife for like A HALFHOUR!

Also pessimism gives you a healthier sense of humor and you can never be let down. Optimists suck!

as long as your happy with being negative between you and me I tend to be pessimistic so I can enjoy the lookout on life

Being pessimistic does lead to a negative lifestyle.

its not bad necessarily but it could make you feel hopeless and depressed, or make other people not want to be around you. I prefer to surround myself with positive people. If you're content with how you are don't worry about it.
