Is camping fun...or not???

Question

haven't been camping ever...but going camping soon.

I'm not the out/nature stuff kinda person but I love adventure....do you think I could cope going camping....(i'm scared of spiders by the way) JUST spiders....i'm not scared of the dark either. but my problem. is...keeping clean...u know?

I went camping my frist time a few weekends ago. It was fun for me! I was really gross but it was alright with me. I think you should at least try it! :)

Try it, leave the electronics at home. Cell phone off unless it is an emergency. Be out of touch for a few days, it's awesome!

I love camping!!  I think if you try it you'll like it.  I would buy some insect repellant for targeting spiders and other common pests around the house.  Most camping places offer bathhouses where you can take a shower and wash your clothes but being a guy, I don't give a lot of thought to cleanliness.  My suggestion to you is do like my mom did and pack all of your personal and hygiene items; you always want to be prepared, even the littlest thing forgotten can ruin a camping trip.  Hope this helps!

Camping is always fun ... if your idea of fun is a meeting a challenge. There are many variables and no camping trip is a carbon copy of another. Just go prepared for anything, including spiders.

It depends on where your from but I'm a total girly girl and from the suburbs and I go once a year with girls scouts and I think its totally fun! but it also depends on if your going strait to the woods or camp ground? tent or RV? it all dpeneds onwhere your fromwat your like and where u r goin to be! But u can talk all nite, explore, roast marshmallows! its rly fun! also how long will u be there? and bring bug spray to keep bugs away! other than thatu should be good!

Being out in the woods is the greatest experience. Get out of your city head and into a country one. Don't worry about being so clean. Get some dirt on you. We evolved in a natural environment, so just relax, get comfortable, and enjoy.

well, since you say that your the adventurous type, i think that youd love camping! you dont have to worry too much about spiders (just mosquitoes). you wont be able to keep completely clean, since you'll be outdoors.

camping being fun really depends on what you do with your time, so make sure not to lounge around the tent too much ^_~

yah you will get dirty.

but i mean there are campsites that have showers, so just bring your shampoo and soap.

if you stay away from teh dirty stuff then you will be clean.

overall getting dirty and unclean is part of the camping fun.

Camping is what you make it,read the books ,ask questions and keep your eyes and ears open when you are on a site,you never stop learning or know it all.I have always enjoyed it,but i got a good grounding in the forces (sorry about the pun ).

camping is very fun especially if you are with you're friends or family. you will encounter bugs but you should have a bug off spray. its nice to see the sights and animals. its an adventure you will never forget. if you are camping for a couple days its important to have wipes. its the best way to keep clean.

camping is extremely fun, I hate spiders but theres not that many outdoors, its great sitting around the campfire at night talking to friends, and the hiking is really fun and great, at most camp ground facilitys they have free showers so dont worry about keeping clean. if your the adventourous type you will love it, but once you start you cant stop

NO! Do not go camping now! It is hot and sticky and you get attacked with mosquitoes not matter how much bug spry you put on...you also have to sleep on the cold hard grown! It is gross with bugs and you are always sweaty! In the morning all your stuff is wet with the dew and...no toilet! How gross is that! DO NOT GO (unless in a cabin with air conditioning and indoor pluming.)

If you've never been, you should go just to find out if you like it.  I have siblings and friends that think it's great.  Of course, my favorite way to go camping is in a self-contained RV - indoor plumbing, a shower, electricity for the blow-dryer, and of course air conditioning!

I love going camping and unless it is a primative camping site they are likely to have showers and running water.  You can also find a list of interesting animals in the area so if you go hiking it gives you something to look for.

just came back from a 2 week camping holiday with my huby and ......3 kids and we had a ball, as long as the tent can withstand the elements then its all cool, we had a ball, the camp site we were on was cheap, clean with good shower and toilet facilities so hey be at one with nature, ........however there is nothing you can do about the spiders? or earwigs? or bats? or grass snakes?

Going camping is great in some extend.

Fresh air, nature and any new experience I may say is truly great fun. But not quite so sure if you will not encounter any spiders or any other insects. It will not be very  nice for you in that case.

Don't go camping for long, if you have problem with cleanliness.

But surely camping is great fun.

Camping is great fun providing the weather is ok.  

Can be a bit unpleasant if its cold and wet.

Dont worry about spiders.... you're more likely to see spiders in your house than in a tent.

I love camping, for me its something I do once in a while, I can't stand camping for over 2 days though, I prefer keeping clean, but just bring some lotion, deodorant, perfume, toilet paper, wet wipes and other stuff that will help keep you clean.

Camping is so much fun, my husband and i love camping, i'm 26 and his 31 so we've been doing it a long time.  The chances of a spider coming in your tent are so remote, i wouldn't worry if i were you.  It's so much fun!!
