  1. No; it should be 7 approximately.

    Tap water may have chlorine in it...careful.


  2. Distilled water may not have a pH at all.  It takes ions in the water to measure pH.  It should actually be neutral.

  3. Distilled water has absolutely nothing in it.

    Try tap water.

  4. No, distilled water is IN THEORY neutral, ph 7.  In reality, there is often still a little carbon dioxide still dissolved in it, making it slightly acidic, ph 6.5 or so.

  5. Neither alkaline nor acidic
