Yes.

While I do think that people are generally too  concerned about these things, when one double dips the food items passes through the lips, mixes with bodily fluids which are then transferred back to the dip on the second swipe. Kinda yuk if you don't know the person.

Well if you take a double dip & would like to keep the food for later use - it will grow mold from the saliva passed on from it from the spoon.

I don't think so. It's not like you slobber on the food you're dipping, you just touch it with your teeth. But i only do it with people i know, i wouldn't want to double dip at a party or something.
