  1. As opposed to drinking what?

I've seen bottled water that would not pass WHO standards, which are a lot more lax than the U.S. standards. Drinking surface water is taking your life into your hands. Ground water is usually safe but may contain unhealthy levels of minerals such as arsenic. While tap water is subject to occasional problems, the daily monitoring insures that tap water in the U.S. is quite safe, no matter what pseudoscientists think about it. Just don't drink tap water in the Third World without filtering and boiling it.

  2. --  kind'a depends on where the water comes from.

--  bottled water costs 1000 times more.  or even more than that.

--  flouride has done more for teeth health than all the brushing -- or so i've read.

  3. kind off

  4. h**l YEAH! Ther's all that c**p in ther like chlorine, and copper, and stuff, best to stay with the bottled water.

  5. If they didn't put fluoride in it then it would be ok.

The type of fluoride they use is Aluminium fluoride. The human brain has a special layer that filters the blood before it travels into the brain. Aluminium Fluoride passes through this, and is built into brain tissue.

We actually get all the fluoride needed from eating fresh vegetables.

Drinking floridated water actually reduces brain activity - as the Natzi's found out when they started giving it to their prisoners.

Fluoride is a poisonous byproduct of metal smelting. You cannot just dump it in a water supply yourself. The companies would have to pay millions to dispose of it legally - but are allowed to add it in minute quantities to our water - by government regulation. - The same way government say that industry can export asbestos or dump waste at sea.

  6. It is probably more likely to have chlorine and toxins, plus increased amounts of the harmful types of bacteria.

But it's better than bottled water, why pay for water that has been in contact with plastic for so long?

  7. In most places, its actually healthier.

Drink tap water. It cost less. Provides valuable minerals, and can increase your immune system by exposing your body to natural bacteria.

  8. Yup. It's full of c**p.

Get a "reverse osmosis" filter on your sink for drinking water.

  9. Bottled water is typically just filtered tap water, sold at a huge markup.  Bottled water often has high levels of bacteria.  Your tap water may have a chlorine taste or smell, but unless your pipes are bad the most you need to make it both safe and tasty is a filter pitcher.

  10. Drink some and find out.

I do it all the time and I'm not dead yet.

Unlike bottled water, there are quality standards for faucet water.
