Is equality attainable?

Can equality ever be attained for men and women since women are'nt held equally accountable for their actions and treated the same as men?

1)Men tend to not take women seriously and treat them like children so doesn't this make women act more like children in many ways?

2) If a woman kills her kids, people think she must be crazy, if a father does it to his kids people think that he is evil and should be killed

3) If a woman (the Florida teacher) has s*x with her 13 year old student, she gets probation, if a man does it, they lock him up forever

4) As children, when boys hurt themselves, people tell them to "be a man." But women are cottled and, in a sense, "rewarded" for crying by the sympathy they recieve. Doesn't this "teach" women to cry and let someone else fix the problem when the going gets tough?

5) Women are congratulated when they are a CEO and make a good decision, but when they make a bad one, people try to blame a man.

So doens't this pressure make women worse?

It sure is. All you have to do is manipulate the opportunities you give women to help them "even out the playing field" with men.

It isn't equitable (fair) treatment but it will sure create the equality for the sake of being equal that they so love.

Yes, equality is attainable once scientists find a way to awaken the other 90%of the human brain. Until then we must continue to suffer oh well. Maybe if the scientists weren't so busy making male enhancement drugs, who knows what could be accomplished.

I think total equality between genders is impossible. men are simply different from women and vice verse. there are fields that are almost exclusive to men and will take a very dedicated and driven woman to fit in. for example serving in the army combatants. there are also jobs that are betters done by women. but this doesn't mean that one cannot cross the others territory. at the end of the day, he or she who excels in his or hr chosen field will be given recognition regardless of his or her gender.

No. Irregardless someone will be short changed. It might not be a gender/race thing but it is impossible for every individual to be equal. The only thing we can aim for is individual rights,freedom's and responsibilities.
