Is he a waist of time?

there is this guy who i've know since 8th grade. Now that were juniors we've become a little more flirty. He'll hug me from behind and flirt and all this other stuff but,sometimes he seems to make an extra effort to talk or touch me then sometimes I see him acting "flirty"with other girls. Am I waisting my time or should I just keep things the way they are and hope that he can tell that I like him. How do I know if he likes me?

at your age, its pretty easy to tell if a guy likes you, cause he shoud say it.

if he is playing hard to get, or is just flirty in personality you can tell the difference.

if i were you i woud tell him how you feel, then go from there

how about you just tell him that you like him and see what he says that way you will know exactly what those flirty touches mean

my advise would be to stand back and watch him.  If you don't let him grab on you and touch you the way he does would he still feel the same or would he still be a friend.  I have 4 older brothers and one younger brother this action is typical of a guy who has either came close to losing his V or has already lost it and is looking for his next notch on his belt.  Only you would know if your waisting your time but if i'm guessing right your probably just feeling this way because now other girls are showing him attention and your kinda on the jealous side and you want to show him you are not the little eighth grader anymore but trust me the only person that you need to prove that to is yourself.  If he likes you let him come to you when he calms down and stops flirting with every other girl.  If he is the one for you then you will know.  You don't need anyone from here to tell you that you already know it.  Just be careful and listen to your heart.
