Is hitting women really that wrong?

Firstly I aint a women beater but

Dont women want to be treated equal well why doesn't getting hit count also.

I know a boy who got robbed and jumped by an all girl gang who were older than him stripped his clothes took his bike left him crying. What do you say to that wouldn't it be fair if he hit them back. They aint me so dont try say that cause i know the girls and i aint ever been stripped down *** dat

Also I know girls who are strong do all the stuff boys do what about butch lesbians

Me I only hit someone if they hit me and its not a joke I aint had a girl hit me for a long time but lol but just know i gave her equal rights. I have anger problems so I dont sit around and think after someone has hit me on purpose

I say there are two different types

women beater - beats a girly girl or a defenseless women and they rape (this aint me)

and beating up a women- either self defense or she started it and she can hold a fight.

What do you lot think and be serious

Of course you should be able to defend yourself. But that doesn't include being able to hit a woman because she has managed to p**s you off in some way. I've seen men who think as you do take it to that extreme. My brother for one, a guy who swore he'd never hit a woman for any reason. Then it went to self defense, then to "She just won't shut up and leave me alone! I have to do something!"

ONLY to prevent physical harm and/or your death, never when you think you are going to teach her some imagined lesson-many men actually believe this lame excuse.I am very muscular and have actually stepped in on at least 3 separate occassions and restrained much larger men men from hurting a woman NOT a threat to tehm-two were strangers and one WAS(emphasis) a friend.

If someone hit me in a way that posed danger to my wellbeing, I don't care about what colour, gender or any other entity, you will (or at least should) expect retaliation. It is said that those who retaliate to females hitting them are wimps, but it is even more cowardly to let someone run all over you because you fear about what someone else thinks about you. That is really what it boils down to when Men let Women bruise and hit them. People shouldn't be hitting people and that is the solution to the vicious cycle. By removing Men, as if they are the only beings that contribute to violence, the cycle is still there, only that in this case the female is hitting you solely. It's wrong on another level because Feminism states that women should be 'equal' to men. This is yet so contradictory on so many levels. Hitting someone and not expecting that person to hit you back is not equal, neither is calling all men as "stupid neanderthals" but yelling when something derogatory towards females equal. That is the underlying flaw of Feminism; it does not create equality, it only spreads Matriarchy. One of the answerers below me clearly epitomizes this stance on, "We want Equality...But!". There are no "buts" in equality; it's either you take the good and the bad or you forget about everything altogether,

I do honour you in the fact that you asked this question. So many men, and even people rather, are so deluded by political correctness and the "laws" of society that they have to be muted on certain subjects. Almost like a police state in the making.

Interesting that all of the people who are believers in self-defense regardless of the opposition's position got a thumbs down. And you wonder what's wrong with society?

Edit: Bright*Star: Women were only deprived of voting and were confined to their houses. On a mass-scale, there was no beating. Even the Suffragettes, of whom were challenging the general populace's beliefs, have been depicted to have been handled carefully by the policemen. There is an increase in violence perpetrated by young women, this is sad but I don't think an inevitable consequence of women being equal to men. I am not sure what causes this but if a woman attacks a man then he has a right to defend himself obviously. There is some reported domestic violence perpetrated by women but it is infinitely small compared with male to female violence. some women expect never to get hit back and do hit men- this is clearly wrong. I think most men would not retaliate though because society does look down on men who hit women.

I think there is a double standard; a man hit by a woman would get less sympathy than a woman hit by a man. As for people in gangs  (male or female) who attack and steal they are the lowest of the low, they clearly have no morals what so ever. They are insecure cowards who are not worthy of the oxygen they breathe. Anecdotal evidence about scum like them does not help your case because they do not count for anything- their moral bankruptcy over-rides their gender.

You are right to say you have the right to defend yourself regardless of the gender of the person who has hit you. This does not extend to "beating up" anyone, that suggests going beyond what is necessary to defend yourself. We live in an imperfect world, women get patronised and discriminated against because of their gender; men get taken advantage of because society judges a man who hits a woman as a violent bully even if that woman would try the patience of a saint. Anyone who is violent is wrong.

I have always been chivalrous but I do say that if women want to be equal they need to take the bad with the good. None of this, "but I'm a woman!", you know? If you start something with me you WILL get it back, I don't care if you're a woman. This change in my views has come from seeing women get a lot more gutsy and yet willing to use the double standard if they need to. These women especially deserve a little something. good question, obviously we do not attack a woman indiscriminately. but in a situation you describe being attacked by numerous females we are more than justified in smashing them to pieces. i have been slapped by a few women and never retaliate but an all out attack has to be defended by any means necessary.

Depends.  If you're just hitting her to be mean, then that's cruel, as it is to hit boys.  If the b!t(h deserved it, maybe.  If it's in self defense, YES!!  Hitting a weak person of either gender is wrong, even if they started it, but if they can hold their own, do what you want.  I'm a pacifist, so I'd say nobody gets hit.

However, girls have the advantage if the girl and the guy are just rumblin' and he won't hit her, she can beat the c**p out of him.

Somebody wrote here that women are "more sympathetic and caring" --- not true. Women can be as nasty & cruel as men (sometimes worse).

People say that hitting women is wrong because women are smaller and weaker. That is true, but there's no outrage when a 300 lb brute beats up on a 150 lb guy. Neither is there an outrage if a muscular woman beats up on a little skinny guy (in fact, many people find this funny)
