is it cheaper to have a glass company (floyd's

) build a 120 gall fish tank or just to buy it? id have to buy the top and light too from a store. a combo (light, top, tank) is 425$ at the petstore. plus we would need to build a cross brace to keep the pressure from the water from breaking the tank. it is built in if i buy one from the store, but i dont know. please help.

120 x 8lb/ gallon is a heavy tank.  960 pounds.

You better get some good information first.

I think it's smarter to allow the people who know how to build one to build it.

Buy one from the store . at least you have come back when it fails etc.  How big is 120 gallons?  That is an known quantity

Glass cutters are not professional aquarium builders.  They may have no idea of the pressure encountered in a tank that large and what kind of bracing or silicone will be needed to hold the edges water tight.  I'd buy one ready-made or try Craig's list.

check craigslist.org ---bet you can find a descent used one with everything for cheaper---maybe even a bigger one!
