In the single digits here and across most of the US. That global warming thing, is getting terrible, don't ya think ?

Funny, here is something you will soon see that most alarmists and skeptics agree on; localized temperature variations do not prove nor disprove AGW theory. Some places are warmer and others are colder.  It is steady variation over time that is tracked. Where I am there seems to be no temperature difference at all, still in the mid 80s to low 90s almost every day of the year.  Oh and yeah, isn't it supposed to be single digits back in the mainland, it is January after all.  That is why I moved to a small tropical island.

Regardless of what temperatures are currently doing over a tiny portion of Earth's surface, 2007 was the second warmest year ever recorded (by far the warmest ever recorded in the northern hemisphere), and 2008 will most likely follow suit.

The reason some parts of the northern hemisphere are currently experiencing frigid temperatures is because it's the middle of *winter.* And, contrary to what many GW denialists want so desperately to believe, global warming doesn't cancel winter.
