  1. Dude, that girl said it! It is easier to learn to ski, but harder to advance at. Learning to ski and snowboard hurts alot. Plan to be really sore the next day. But what i loved about learning, is that I got better every single time I went and was way exciting! now i barely get better in a whole season.

  2. Well since im a instructor ill tell you the jist of it.

Snowboarding is hard to learn but easy to master.

Skiing is easy to learn but hard to master.

When learning snowboarding, your going to be falling alot but after you get the hang of it, you will be having fun.

Skiing you going to be doing good with the pizza stops but you eventually have to learn how to do the side stop. Which gets hard.

  3. NO, i dont think its hard. I picked it up pretty quickly. I did fall back (as in sitting on the snow) a lot, but it seemed normal for beginners to do that. I didnt fall face first though.

You should go take a beginner snowboarding lesson. The instructors will teach you all the basics like stopping, gliding etc... and personally, i think snowboarding is better

  4. I won't lie, it IS difficult to learn how to snowboard. Expect to spend the day on your butt and be sore the next day! But, it's soooooooo worth it once you get it!

skiing is easier to learn but harder to advance at.

Whichever you choose, take a lesson! I can't say enough about how much of a difference it will make.

  5. no way it so awesome like 2 weeks you will be off the bunny slopes and hitting the ski lifts

  6. Children and teens pick it up pretty easy. I have taught a lot of adults to board and it is pretty difficult for most of them. Being athletic helps but mostly its about how beat up you'll let yourself get and keep getting up and trying again. You can't expect to learn in one day or even one week. Most of the people I teach take a whole season of going once a week before they really look decent going down a moderate hill. It is harder than it looks. I've been boarding for 15 years now and its easy now. But I have seen a lot of people give up their first season because they get too frustrated. Expect to work hard and take a beating...than you will do fine. Oh and take lessons from professionals or experienced and very PATIENT  friends. Good luck!
